A BIT OF HISTORY
Being at school from dawn to dusk has been second nature to me ever since I was a very young girl. My mom was a teacher and counselor for many years so I knew exactly what I was in for...and I was excited!
I have always been an extremely curious person, so being at school is like a kid in a candy store for me! In addition, my love for children made becoming an educator a natural choice. Over the last 20 years, I have taught at every grade level and in many different environments, loving and learning from every one of them.
Continuing my education in curriculum and instruction with a technology emphasis came easily as well. This program has given me the opportunity to research endless resources, incorporate effective teaching techniques, and nurture my creative side all while getting to play with the latest tools of technology. It has been frustrating, exciting, rewarding, and most of all FUN! Isn't that just what learning should be about?
In the near future, I hope to become more involved at a leadership level helping others use technolgy to support effective teaching in the classroom, outreach programs, and through web-based learning.
